Itasca Lends Technical Expertise to Local Conference
Minneapolis, MN (February 27, 2014) Itasca engineers Roger Hart and Augusto Lucarelli will present a short course on, “Geotechnical Engineering Problem Solving using Numerical Modeling,” today at 1:00 PM during the 62nd annual University of Minnesota Geotechnical Engineering Conference (www.mngeotechnicalsociety.com). The short course will take place before the conference technical sessions that start tomorrow, February 28. Itasca will also have a booth at the exhibition held in conjunction with the conference during the day.
“The organizing committee has invited six nationally renowned speakers, plus there will be eight case histories of interest to the regional geotechnical community,” Conference Chair Lee Petersen, Principal Engineer at Itasca, said. Itasca invites all interested geotechnical engineers to register and attend this worthwhile engineering event.
The conference will be held at the Continuing Education and Conference Center on the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota, 1890 Buford Avenue beginning at 7:30 AM on Friday. The conference is sponsored by the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota Geotechnical Society and the Minnesota Geo-Institute of the ASCE.
